Who we are

BuildingPulse is a service of Chris Reading Associates Limited ("CRA", "we"), registered in England and Wales, company number 12240384, registered office G4b Bayside Business Centre, Poole BH15 3TB. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it has no forms. Like any web server, our hosting provider keeps short-term technical logs of requests, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Enquiries

If you email or phone us, we use your name, contact details and what you tell us about your building to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal. We do this because it is in our legitimate interests to respond to enquiries. If no work follows, we delete enquiry correspondence after two years.

Clients and dashboard users

When we provide BuildingPulse to you, we hold the contact details of the people we work with, the building's address and the information needed to deliver the service and invoice for it. We do this to perform our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting records.

If we give you a login to the online dashboard, we hold your name, email address and a record of sign-ins, so that only the people you choose can see your building's data. Logins are removed when the service ends or when you ask us to remove them.

The monitoring data itself (temperatures, humidity and heating energy) describes the building, not people. We use it to provide the service and reports to you. We do not sell it or share it with anyone else without your agreement.

We keep client records for six years after the service ends, which covers our legal and insurance obligations, and then delete them.

Who else handles the information

We use a small number of service providers, who act only on our instructions:

• our website host, Hostinger
• Mythic Beasts, which hosts the BuildingPulse monitoring server and its backups in the UK
• our email provider
• our accountant, for invoicing records

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to our use of it. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We will update this notice if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
